Lahore, Pakistan | 2 November 2026: MG Motor Pakistan has reaffirmed the current manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of PKR 10,199,000 for the All-New MG HS Super Hybrid, providing clarity amid ongoing discussions surrounding proposed vehicle taxation changes under the draft Auto Policy 2026–31.
When MG introduced the All-New MG HS in April 2026, its Hybrid+ and Super Hybrid variants were launched at introductory prices calculated on the basis of an 8.5% GST rate. Following the expiry of the previous Auto Policy’s tax provisions on 1 July, the applicable GST rate for affected hybrid vehicles increased to 25%. MG maintained the Super Hybrid’s MSRP at PKR 10,199,000.
Subsequently, a government notification dated 14 September 2026 revised GST to 18% for the relevant category of hybrid vehicles. Following this change, MG revised the price of the HS Hybrid+ to PKR 9,999,000, while the Super Hybrid’s MSRP remained unchanged.
The draft Auto Policy announced on 21 October 2026 proposes a 9% GST rate for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). However, the proposal remains subject to approval and implementation and should not be interpreted as an effective tax rate or confirmation of revised retail prices.
MG Motor Pakistan will continue to assess the implications of the finalized policy and any applicable regulatory changes within its pricing framework. The company remains committed to transparency and customer confidence, helping customers distinguish between tax changes that have taken effect and proposals still under consideration.
Customers are encouraged to consult MG Motor Pakistan’s official communication channels and authorized dealerships for confirmed pricing information.
